March 22, 1929 – March 18, 2012
He was born in Hallettsville to Frank and Velma Ponish Muhlstein on March 22, 1929. On September 8, 1956, he was united in marriage to Delores Spies at St. John's Lutheran Church in Shiloh.
He served in the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. After returning from the Armed Forces he began his career at WKM Industries in Stafford, Texas. After working for 1 ½ years at WKM he started working for Carnation Company in San Antonio for 23 years. In the year 1968 he became chief engineer until they closed in 1978. After that closure he went to work for Foremost and Oak Farms until he retired in August 1990. He enjoyed his work and was a perfectionist at his job.
His hobbies were metal and wood working and he loved the outdoors.
William is survived by his wife Delores Muhlstein of 55 years; one brother Kenneth Muhlstein of Hallettsville and one sister Betty Roth of Victoria.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother in law Glenn Roth.
Funeral Service: 2pm; Thursday March 22, 2012 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 4pm; Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Dr. Rev. Alan Williams Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers: Lawrence Muehr, Donald Muehr, LaNoal Eshberger, Adolph Marek, Leonard Marek, and Marvin Holik
