William "Frank" Butschek Sr., 82, of Hallettsville, died Oct. 31, 2008. He was born on January 3, 1926 to Fred J. & Elizabeth Henneke Butschek. He married Ann Mikulenka Butschek on Aug. 9, 1948 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Koerth. He was a veteran of WWII in the US Navy, and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Frank is survived by: 2 sons, Ken Butschek & wife Lydia of Spicewood, and Kevin Butschek & wife Dawn of Hallettsville; 3 brothers, Leroy Butschek of Oklahoma, Robert Butschek of Hallettsville, and Gilbert Butschek of Hallettsville; and 2 grandchildren, Chase and Colin Butschek.

Frank was preceded in death by: his wife Ann on Oct. 3, 2008; son William Butschek Jr.; parents; 2 brothers, Alfred and Victor Butschek; and 3 sisters, infancy, Margaret Klesel, and Pearline Butschek.

Service: 1 pm, Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 12:30 pm, Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers: Chase Butschek, Colin Butschek, Dalton Powell, Gilbert Butschek Jr., Donnie Mikulenka, and Kenneth Jansky. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas or Hallettsville Rehabilitation Center.
