Obituary

William "Bill" Biehunko, 68, of Hallettsville, passed away July 24, 2012. He was born on July 9, 1944 to Edward & Emilia Ehler Biehunko Sr. in Lavaca County, TX (Old Kinkler area). He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Bill attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, and later started working at New Era Herald newspaper as a linetype operator, then to Tribune newspaper.

Bill enjoyed working with the Little League organization, for many a year, he looked forward every year for this event. He loved cooking; he cooked for Little League, weddings, and reunions.

Bill is survived by: brother Edward Biehunko Jr.; sister Helen Vasek & husband Eugene; 2 nephews, Ed Biehunko III & wife Debbie, and Eugene Vasek Jr. & wife Marie; godchildren, Brent Mozisek and Michael Dusek; all of Hallettsville; and loving friend Irene C. Brown.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Friday, July 27, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Shawn Christine, Joe A. Olivarez, James Catto, Lester Mitchell, Brent Mozisek, and Eugene Vasek Jr. Honorary Pallbearers: Michael Dusek, Bishop Lemons, Richard Blanar, John Schults, and James Sims. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Donor's Choice.
