Being a Navy family, they moved often living in Hawaii, Arizona, Central California, New Jersey, and Southern California before settling in Texas in the Shiloh Community. While in Arizona, Wilhelmina was blessed with three children; Richard Paul, Jr., David Lee, and Karen Lynn. Wilhelmina was a housewife, seamstress, avid gardener, Sunday School teacher, and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hallettsville. Her hobbies were dancing, canning, baking, sewing, making quilt tops, and spending time with family and friends
Wilhelmina is survived by her husband Richard Paul of Hallettsville; children, Richard Paul Kolonko Jr. & wife Beverly of Lake Jackson, David Lee Kolonko of Victoria & girlfriend Nela Gonzalez of Rosenberg, and Karen Lynn Hairell & husband Dan of Victoria; two granddaughters D'an Nicole Kocian & husband Chad of Katy, and Kristi Lynn Heidrich & husband Eric of Victoria; and one great granddaughter, Allie Nicole Kocian. Also survived is one sister, Julia Swenson of Wenatchee, Washington.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; 2 sisters, Lillie Hustede, and Marie Langenberg and 4 brothers one at infancy, Otto Langenberg, Willie Langenberg (twin), and Julius Langenberg.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm to 7 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Dr. Alan Williams. Pallbearers: Richard Kolonko, Jr., David Kolonko, Dan Hairell, Chad Kocian, Eric Heidrich, and John Parker, Jr. Burial: Shiloh Cemetery. Memorials: Shiloh Community Center, Shiloh Cemetery Perpetual Care, or St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville.
