IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wesley C.
Buchanek
October 30, 1935 – October 8, 2011
Wesley graduated from Sheridan High School, with the class of 1953. He was stationed in Germany while serving his country in the US Army. In his younger years, he worked as a pipe fitter, but later found contentment in raising cattle.
Wesley was well known for his willingness to cook "the wild Sublime beans" for numerous fund raisers and other occasions, mainly at the K.C. Hall in Hallettsville. Through the years, Wesley spent many hours playing dominos with friends at various locations, and he and cousin Doug Holt (deceased) of Sheridan were actually winners in the 8th Annual K.C. Domino Tournament, some years ago. Wesley also enjoyed fishing and hunting, but nothing compared to the rewarding hours he spent with his cooking buddies at the K.C. Hall. Wesley is also survived by many cousins in the area, descendants of the large James Brooks family and the J.H. Reese family.
Wesley is survived by: sister, Patricia David & husband Ted of Rockville, Maryland; nephews, Christian David & wife Roxanne, and Teddy David all of Rockville, Maryland, and Michael Rivers of Palm Beach, Florida; nieces, Robyn Rivers of Muleshoe, Texas, and Karin David Walker & husband Steve of Rockville, Maryland. He is also survived by: grandnieces, Adrianna, Tatianna & Julianna David, and Patricia Walker; and grandnephews, Christopher Wesley Walker and Christian David II.
Wesley was preceded in death by: his parents, and sister Billie Bernice Sparlin.
Wesley will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. Great is our God!
