Wanda was very involved at the First Baptist Church of Sheridan. She taught Sunday school and worked in the nursery during services. She loved working with kids. She was a home-maker most of her life but also worked as a teacher's aide and took care of children in her home. Her hobbies were sewing, reading and listening to music. Eddy Arnold was her favorite. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Wanda is survived by: her husband Mike; daughter Terri Stanley & husband Lonnie of Sheridan; 2 brothers, Ike Peterson of Edna, and Clark Peterson of Sheridan; 2 sisters, Joan Beaubouef of Pearland, and Laneil Vawter of Houston; and 2 grandchildren, Katie Moss and Logan Stanley.

Wanda was preceded in death by: her parents, and brother Mike Peterson.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Monday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Brother Allen. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): American Cancer Society. Burial: private ceremony at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery of San Antonio.
