Walter Edgar Nicholson, 92, of Hallettsville, passed away August 13, 2021.  He was born on May 22, 1929, to Claude O. & Katie Fenner Nicholson, in Lavaca County, TX.  He married Dorothy Mae Konarik on June 12, 1951, in Hallettsville.  He was enlisted in the US Army on February 5, 1951, and Honorable Discharge on October 22, 1956

Walter is survived by; son Robert Nicholson & wife Kathy; granddaughter Erin Kaufhold & husband Keith; and 2 great grandsons, Levi & Benjamin Kaufhold.

Walter was preceded in death by, his wife Dorothy, parents, and grandson Casey Nicholson.

Graveside Service: 9 am, Monday, August 16, 2021, at Hallettsville City Cemetery. Visitation: 4 pm to 7 pm, Sunday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Rev. Elvis Johnston. Memorials: donor's choice.
