IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia J.
Whitehead
March 27, 1926 – November 5, 2009
Virginia loved working with her hands. She always kept beautiful flowers, crochets, quilts and was a great cook. Later in life she went back to her roots and settled back on the small plot of land on Lavaca County where she was born. Being a hard worker and loving the country life, she tirelessly worked next to her loving husband, raising cattle, bailing hay and gardening. Her husband, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were her pride and joy.
Virginia will always be loved and forever in our hearts and greatly missed by her family and friends.
Virginia is survived by: her husband Urvin; daughter Loyce Averett & husband Lane of Crosby, Texas; 2 brothers, Rudolph and Frankie Merechka of Hallettsville; sister Lillie Garcia of California; 6 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter Julie DeVries; 2 brothers, Joseph and Charles Merechka; and ½ brother Jimmie Merechka.
