Virginia Mae (Ginny) Kocian, 80, of Hallettsville, passed away September 3, 2017. She was born on October 1, 1936 to Henry Joe and Agnes Grace Ehler in Hallettsville.

Virginia was a proud graduate from Sacred Heart Catholic School, class of 1954. Her interest in cosmetology led to a 40 year career as a beautician. Thirty of those years she operated a salon at her home where she enjoyed visiting while she worked with friends and family.

Virginia is survived by: 2 children, Karen Abbruscato & husband Mark and James Kocian, Jr. & wife Zoy; 4 grandchildren, Michael Kocian, Mark Abbruscato, Jr, Shara Petro & husband Nick, and Kiley Kocian; and 9 great grandchildren

Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Gay Kocian and her parents Henry Joe and Agnes Ehler.
