Viola Barta Grahmann, 90, of Hallettsville, passed away Feb. 6, 2014. She was born on May 3, 1923 to Albin J. & Julia Drozd Barta in the Breslau Community in Lavaca County, TX. She married Victor J. Grahmann on Nov. 4, 1946 in Hallettsville. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of Americas and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Viola is survived by: 2 sons, Kenneth Grahmann & wife Patsy of Hallettsville, and Henry Kubecka & wife Sue of Hallettsville; brother Alvin J. Barta & wife Estelle of East Bernard; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Myrick & husband Terry, Todd Kubecka & wife Grace, Kenneth Grahmann Jr. & wife Kristi, Darla Whitman & husband Steven, and Valorie Schindler & husband Michael; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Viola was preceded in death by: her 1st husband Henry Robert Kubecka; 2nd husband Victor; parents; brother Eugene Barta; sister Dorothy Brunkenhoefer; sister-in-law Dorothy Rose Barta, brother-in-law Adam Brunkenhoefer Sr.; and great granddaughter Kaylen Schindler.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville.
Visitation: 4 pm, Saturday, at Kubena Funeral Home.
Rosary: 7 pm, Saturday, at Kubena Funeral Home.
Officiant: Msgr. John Peters.
Pallbearers: Adam Brunkenhoefer Jr., Todd Kubecka, Kenneth Grahmann Jr., David Barta, Joshua Grahmann, Zachary Myrick, and Justin Whitman.
Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Charity of Your Choice.
Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
