Viola C. Grahmann, 70, of Hallettsville, died July 31, 2008. She was born June 1, 1938 to Julius J. & Helen Woitaske Grahmann. She was a member of numerous organizations including the Catholic Daughters of Americas and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Viola is survived by: 2 brothers, David J. Grahmann & wife Norma of Stafford, and Andrew J. Grahmann & wife Bessie of Stafford; 5 sisters, Frances Hanslik & husband Julius of Moulton, Irene Barton of Koerth, Gertrude Janak & husband Eugene of Hallettsville, Virginia Pustka & husband John of Shiner, and Mary Bruening & husband Robert of Shelby; brother-in-law Arthur Spies of Hallettsville; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Viola was preceded in death by: her parents, sister Thelma Spies, nephew Mark Hanslik, niece Ann Spies, and brother-in-law Ben Barton.

Service: 10 am, Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 2 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home; and 9:30 am Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Pat Hanslik, James Barton, Russell Janak, Robert Pustka, Stephen Spies, and Scott Grahmann. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hospice of South Texas, or Charity of your choice.
