Obituary

Mrs. Tressa Lucille Brown, 93, of Hallettsville, died May 10, 2008. She was born on Sept. 28, 1914 to Robert Lee & Florence Farish Cook in Monticello, Arkansas. Tressa lived in Lavaca County since 1982. She was a member of Eastern Star #417 in Houston and ABWA (American Business Women's Association). She and her late husband, Charlie Brown, had a business in Rabb Switch for years.

Tressa is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara A. Lane (husband Dale) in Hallettsville, Texas and Cathy Brown (husband Victoray) in Ava, Missouri. Two stepdaughters, Gladys Girard and Betty Booher in Houston, Texas and one stepson, Bobby Henry in Ava, Missouri, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Tressa was preceded in death by two husbands, James E. Henry and Charlie E. Brown; 2 stepsons, Harold Henry and Buddy Henry; and stepdaughter Jo Anne Donaldson.

Tressa was very fortunate to have great friends, (Bill) W.T. Parks and Alton Brown in her life, for which we are so grateful. She was loved by all and will truly be missed. We love you Mother, Meme, Mamacille, Lucille, and Mrs. Tressa. We know you are at peace at last.

Service: 11 am, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 2 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Brother Joe Rubac. Pallbearers: Alton Brown, Michael Scanlin, Tony Scanlin, Pat Scanlin, Robert Adams, and Jimmy Adams. Honorary Pallbearer: (Bill) W.T. Parks. Burial: Willow Creek Cemetery, Vienna, Texas.
