Theresa early education was at Hallettsville Elementary, Middle School and High School where she graduated in 1979. She further her education at Durhams Nixon Business College, Austin, Texas in 1981.
Theresa married Anthony Perkins on March 23, 1986 and no children were born to this union.
On her 9th birthday she received twin siblings, Andrea and Andrew. Theresa was not a happy little girl knowing her daddy was going to split birthday gifts three ways. Eventually Theresa accepted her siblings and began sharing birthdays with them.
Theresa loved and lived life to the fulliest, always the life of any family celebration. She firmly believed that "laughter is the best form of medicine". She was a joy to everyone who met her. Her joy and happiness were filled with lots of love, dedication, courage, everlasting love and friendship that will live forever with her best friend, Diane Williams. Diane was always there for Theresa, no matter what time, day or night. They shared many long years together and the two of them developed a strong, tight bond. FRIENDS FOREVER - FRIENDS FOREVER!
Theresa's mother preceded her in death. Outstanding memories of Theresa will be cherished by her husband, Anthony; father, Andrew Rice, Sr. (Betty); sister, Andrea Smith (Randy); brother, Andrew Rice, Jr. (Kathy); nieces: Arielle, Brandi, Andice & Anvy; nephew, Adrian; aunts, uncles, cousins; special cousin Regina Foley; special friends Tiffany McAfee, Pat Hatwell, Misty, Pam Robinson Elijah Stevens; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service: 1 pm, Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 11 am, Saturday at Church. Officiate: Rev. P.A. Turner. Pallbearers: Calvin Bedford, Terrell Herring, Greg Foley, James Jackson, C. J. Nnajiofor, and Sam Wade. Honorary Pallbearers: Ben Caesar, Joby Mayberry, Charlie Caesar, Elton Rice, Tommy Davis, Harold Rice, Wayne Foley, Robert Rice, Robert D McAfee, and Elijah Stevens. Burial: Willing Workers Cemetery in Hallettsville.
