Theresa Veronica Melnar Tuttle, 79, of Fulshear, TX, made a peaceful transition to eternal life on December 15, 2015. Celebrating her family-filled life and missing her tremendously are Frank Donald Tuttle, Sr., of Fulshear, TX, the love of her life and her husband of 56 years; her daughter Sheila Tuttle Carter and husband Doyle of Baton Rouge, La; her daughter Sherrie Tuttle Barker and husband Trent of Katy, TX; her son Frank Donald Tuttle, Jr. and wife Robin of Kansas City, Mo; and her beloved grandchildren: Christopher Ryan Carter, Frank Anthony Carter, Brandi Nicole Barker, and Anniston Rutherford Tuttle. She is also greatly missed and warmly remembered by her brothers Pat Melnar and Marcus Melnar; her sister-in-law Monica Melnar; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends around the world. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Veronica Melnar; her brother Joe Fred Melnar, and her sisters-in-law Rose Melnar and Marie Melnar.

Theresa was born November 29, 1936, in Mont, Texas. As a young girl, Theresa worked at her dad's café in Hallettsville, TX while studying to be a nurse. Theresa and Frank married on June 13, 1959 and began an adventurous life abroad, raising their young family in Thessaloniki, Greece and Brussels, Belgium from 1973-1983 before returning to Baton Rouge. In 2007, they retired to Fulshear, Texas.

Theresa was an avid tennis player and a past President of the Baton Rouge Women's Tennis Association. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters. Theresa and Frank hosted family vacations in Destin, Florida, and Thanksgiving gatherings for family and friends at the Double S&D Ranch in Edna, Texas. Theresa will be remembered for her lavish meals, her infectious laugh, her sparkling eyes, and her high-spirited grandchildren who loved every minute they got to spend with Grandma.

Funeral Mass Service: 1 pm, Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home with Rosary starting at7 pm. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Adam Bowhay, Marshall Melnar, Kyle Clark, Keith Dornak, Michael Baca, Jeff Barker. Memorials: MD Anderson Lung Cancer or Donor's Choice. Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Reception (after interment): Sacred Heart Catholic Family Center.
