Obituary

Thelma Regina Henneke Mikulenka, 89, of Hallettsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 4, 2014 at 7:45 pm, at Shady Oak Nursing Home in Moulton. She was born on Sept. 7, 1924 to Fred & Hattie Tiemann Henneke Sr. in Lavaca County, Texas. She married Louis P. Mikulenka on May 20, 1946 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of Americas and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Thelma was a devoted wife and mother, selfless to her family, quick to a smile, quick witted, caring, and tender hearted. She was fun loving, always with a smile, enjoyed herself and life, an ability to call it like she saw it, a joking manner, loved to visit and socialize with people. If she was bored, she would make her own fun.

It's not good bye, but see you at the Pearly Gates when we come home. Love you, Mom.

Thelma is survived by: 3 sons, Dennis Mikulenka & wife Susan of Houston, Myron Mikulenka of Kingsburg, and Craig Mikulenka & wife Linda of Devine; daughter Shanta Foster & husband Ernest of Sheridan; 2 brothers, Richard and Kenneth Henneke of Hallettsville; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by: husband Louis of 64 years, daughter Sheryl Ann Mikulenka, parents, and brother Fred R. Henneke Jr.
