Terry Mitchon Bludau, 53 of Hallettsville passed away early Friday morning, Sept. 5, 2014 after a battle with cancer. She was born February 18, 1961 to Bill and Helen Mitchon in Hallettsville, TX On May 31, 1986 Terry married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Ervin (Sprout) Bludau, Jr. They were blessed with two children. On February 21, 1991, their daughter Kadee Nicole was born. Their family was then complete on August 23, 1995 with the birth of their son Colton Lee.
Terry was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Christen Mothers, ACTS, KJZT, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.
Terry's top priority in life has always been her faith and meeting God in heaven. Her husband and children meant the world to her. She enjoyed keeping up with their numerous activities including sports, livestock shows and scholastic events.
Terry was a dedicated employee of Texas Farm Bureau for over 35 years of her life. She took pride in making each client feel that they were the most important customers. Her pride and customer service led her to receive the highest customer service honor in insurance, the J.D. Powers Award for the past two years.
Her husband, Ervin Bludau, Jr., two children, Kadee Nicole Bludau of Austin, TX and Colton Lee Bludau of Hallettsville, TX, survives Terry. Her siblings, Carol Bohuslav and David, Donna Shimek and Donald, Rose Hickson and Doyle, Billy Mitchon and Brenda, as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews also survive her.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Rosary starting at 7 pm; and visitation from 7 am to 8:45am on Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers : Brady Shimek, Cale Shimek, David Bohuslav Jr., Hunter Mitchon, Aaron Bludau, and Jared Meinkowsky. Honorary Pallbearers: Marvin Warzecha, Jerri Kacir, Janella Matias, Christy Garrett and Tammy Judd. Memorials : Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart School, Hospice of South Texas, or donor's choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
