Sylvia (Syl) Lorraine Bruns, 81, of Hallettsville, went to be with the lord on June 4, 2014.

Sylvia Lorraine St. Croix was born January 3, 1933 in San Francisco, California to the late Clifford St. Croix and Catherine Pudoff St. Croix. She was a homemaker and member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville.

Sylvia also enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and crocheting. In her earlier years she enjoyed dancing and playing cards and liked to listen to music. Her favorite pets were her dogs Lassie, Chou-Chou and Cherie.

Survivors include: her husband of 31 years, Roy H. L. Bruns; sons Louis O. Schneider, Jr. (wife Mary) of Hallettsville, Clifford Schneider (wife Carol) of Georgia; daughters Malvina (Mallee) Hagan (husband John) of Hawaii and Debra Nyberg (husband Kenneth) of Smithville. Her grandchildren; Michelle Schneider Lanni (husband Michael) of Hallettsville, Nik Schneider (wife Kassie) of Harligen, Jeremy Schneider (wife Jacklyn) & Richard Schneider of Georgia, Holly Titus (husband Dan) of Smithville, Stacy Jo Nyberg and Catherine Nicole Nyberg of Smithville. Her Great-Grandchildren; Kevin Pechacek, Kadyn Lanni, Randy Schneider, Mathis Schneider & Nolan Schneider all of Hallettsville and Stephen Titus of Smithville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Louis O'Neil Schneider, Sr., (Feb 1980), and sisters Patricia St. Croix Watson and Janet Marie St. Croix.

Funeral Service: 5 pm, Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 2 pm, Sunday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Rev. Andrew Taylor. Memorials: Charity of Your Choice. Burial (Graveside): 1 pm, Monday, at Marble Falls City Cemetery.
