Susan Skelton Hunt, 56, of Hallettsville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born on Dec. 22, 1959 to Lloyd & Lorene Skelton in Hallettsville. She was married to John Hunt on Sept. 10, 1993. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hallettsville.

Susan enjoyed watching her children play sports, reading, talking to her friends on the phone, playing Bingo, and took great pleasure in every minute of her grandchildren. She always enjoyed watching her favorite sport teams, The Astros, Texans, and Longhorns.

Susan is survived by: her husband John; 2 sons, Kelly McDade & wife Crystal of Hutto, and Ryan McDade & wife Krystle of Hutto; 2 brothers, Jim Bob Skelton & wife Michelle of Pflugerville, and Donald Skelton & wife Norma of Hallettsville; 3 grandchildren, Braeden, Kendall and Kason McDade of Hutto; and nieces & nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by, her parents and grandparents.

Funeral Service: 10am, Thursday, October 13, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm to 6 pm, Wednesday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Trent Skelton, Tyler Skelton, Andy Chapman, Terry Smith, Steven Hunt, and Larry Weaver. Honorary Pallbearers: Braeden McDade, Kendall McDade, Kason McDade, Jessica Skelton, Lindsay Skelton, and Rhonda Hunt. Officiant: Rev. Steve Zornes. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): First Baptist Church of Hallettsville or charity of your choice.
