IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susan Anderson
Fairman
December 18, 1940 – June 17, 2016
Susan Anderson Fairman, 75, of Hallettsville, Texas went to be with The Lord on June 17th, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born December 18, 1940 in Denver Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents, Falvey and Dorothy Anderson. At a young age, Susan moved to Houston, TX, where she attended college. She later attended college in Fort Worth at Texas Christian University.
She married James Fairman on November 26th, 1971, and they raised 2 sons, David and Michael Lowrimore. They moved from Houston to Sweet Home in 1976, and the family truly enjoyed living on their farm. They raised cattle and had a very large garden. She wanted her sons to be raised in a small town environment, rather than a big city. She was involved in her son's schools, as they grew up. Susan really enjoyed the role of being a Mother.
In 1991, they moved from the farm to enjoy the city life of Hallettsville. Susan opened a sandwich shop with a friend when her sons went to college. That was a source of accomplishment for her for several years. Susan loved travelling, and she and Jim were fortunate to travel all over the world.
She was a great friend to many people, and she was very involved in the Episcopal Church. She was also a past member in Beta Sigma Phi. Susan was an avid reader, and she would read books about all different subjects.
She was affectionately known as Sue Sue by her grandsons. That name stuck, and many of her friends called her Sue Sue as well. Her grandsons were a great source of joy for her and Jim.
Susan always remembered and acknowledged birthdays and anniversaries for her friends and family.
Susan is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Fairman of Hallettsville, her son David Lowrimore, his wife Kelley, and her grandsons Matthew and Nicholas, all of Atlanta, GA.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Falvey and Dorothy Anderson, and her son Michael Lowrimore.
The family thanks everyone who prayed for and comforted Susan during her illness. Special thanks to Hospice of South Texas, Liz Nunnelly, and Angel K Bordovsky.
