Susan Evans, 57, of Houston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, July 11, 2023, it was the greatest sadness to the Flood family.  She was born on May 4, 1966, to Henry & Catherine McMillion Flood, in South Shields, England.  Her family then moved to Glasgow, Scotland, where she lived for seven years, until her family immigrated to the United States, seeking a better life.

After many years of attending school while practicing, Susan accomplished her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse, as well as earning a master's degree in nursing.  In her long career, she worked in Medical Surgical, Hospice, Labor & Delivery, and many other specialties in a hospital setting.  She found a passion for Post Partum care, tending to new mothers and their babies with the same love and dedication she gave to her own.  She poured her heart and soul into her work, giving her all to ensure she provided the very best care a patient could have.  She was thoughtful, selfless, and was willing to do whatever was needed to make those she cared for happy.

Though Susan's path was long, and she faced countless difficulties, she flourished, becoming a shining example to her peers and family.  She was a guiding star to her children; always exemplifying compassion and care.  Even in the worst of situations, she always seemed to know the right words to bring reassurance.

Susan will always be loved, and never forgotten; leaving behind her a legacy that her daughters will strive to achieve and are proud to look up to.

Susan is survived by, daughters, Sarah & Kate Evans, younger sister Jacqueline Puccio, two nieces, Meagan & Cara Puccio, and brothers, James & Peter Flood.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 6 pm, Monday, at Kubena Funeral Home; with Rosary at 7 pm. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Burial: Mossy Grove Cemetery.
