Stanley Joseph Klekar of Brenham, Texas passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 72.  He was born on August 14th to Frankie P. and Lucille Klekar.  Stanley graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School in Shiner, was a veteran of the Army and a parishioner of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception in Brenham.

Stanley was the life of the party, a friend to many and a stranger to few.  He retired from the Lower Colorado River Authority after 45 years and was President of the Hermann Sons Gay Hill Lodge.  After retirement, he enjoyed life to the fullest with his best friend and wife Mary Jo by his side.  Stanley loved telling stories, bailing hay, talking tractors, being outside, and coffee with his friends every morning. Stanley was always ready for good time and was not one to sit still for long.

Stanley is survived by:  his mother Lucille; wife Mary Jo; his children, Justin & wife Amanda Klekar of Austin, Kristin & husband Brad of Belton and Wade & wife Judy of Austin; grandchildren, Trey Peikert, Libby Peikert, Brooks Hull, Easton Hull, Kennedy Klekar & Eli Klekar; and siblings, Larry, Annette, Francis, and Laurie.

Funeral Mass Service: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church near Hallettsville. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville. Officiate: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Trey Peikert, Brooks Hull, Easton Hull, Eli Klekar, Bryan Klekar, Eric Klekar, Jason Prochaska and Ryan Prochaska. Memorials: St. Mary's Immaculate Conception in Brenham. Burial: St. Ludmila Catholic Cemetery.
