Mr. Stacey Edward Rabel, 47, of Hallettsville, died Oct. 23, 2007. He was born on Mar. 8, 1960 to Marvin & Lillian Cernoch Rabel in Houston. He was a member of KJT #6 of New Dubina, SPJST, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Stacey attended St. Charles Borromes Catholic School, then Sam Houston High, and graduated in the Class of 1978. He worked several small jobs, but then decided to follow his dad's footsteps, and went to school to be a Certified Fabricator Pipe Fitter, and worked for Boccard, Inc. until he became ill. He was a county person, loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and country life was his joy.

Stacey is survived by his parents Marvin & Lillian Cernoch Rabel of Hallettsville; girl friend Rita Pineda and her daughter Star; daughter Ashley Lores & husband Ricky of LaPorte; brother Glenn Rabel of Hallettsville.

Stacey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe & Mary Rabel, and Albert & Victoria Cernoch.

Service: 10 am, Friday, Oct. 26, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 2 pm, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home with the family receiving visitors between 5 to 7 pm. Rosary: 9:30 am Friday at Sacred Heart Church. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Bobby Pineda, Augustin Pineda, Charlie Stuckey, Donald Rabel, Darrell Rabel, and Barry Demel. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, or Donor's Choice.
