Obituary

Serapo DeLaRosa, 81, of Hallettsville, passed away Feb. 6, 2013. He was born on Nov. 14, 1931 to Pedro & Pauline Hernandez DeLaRosa Sr. in Hallettsville. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. He enjoyed going to the church picnics, especially the cake walks.

Serapo is survived by: 4 sisters, Santos DeLaRosa of Hallettsville, Tiva Neubauer of Hallettsville, Francis Garza of Yoakum, and Cecilia Banda of Victoria; 5 brothers, Lupe, Octaviano, Masimo and Henry DeLaRosa of Hallettsville, and Tony DeLaRosa of Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serapo was preceded death by: his parents; 2 sisters, Mary DeLaRosa and Simona Girtman; and brother Martin DeLaRosa.

Funeral Mass Service: 3 pm, Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: James DeLaRosa, Raymond DeLaRosa, John Neubauer, Daniel Neubauer, Bradley Rosales, and Stephen DeLaRosa. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery of Hallettsville.
