Sephronia Ann Matejek, 81, of Sweet Home, passed away Dec. 31, 2014. She was born on Dec. 22, 1933 to John & Mable Gold in Lavaca County. She married Edward Matejek on April 30, 1963, in Houston.

Ann loved to crochet, quilt and cook. She also loved going to the auctions and watch the animals go through the ring.

Ann is survived by: sister Adeline (Gold) Matejek of Hallettsville; brother Carl Richard (Pogue) Hudgeons of California; aunt Albina (Gold) Loos of Yoakum; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ann was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; and 2 sisters, Joyce Lee Ray and Johnnie Mae Palamero.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville; with Visitation at 7 am. Officiant: Rev. Charles Sonnier. Pallbearers: Daniel Loos, Johnny Loos, Quinton Loos, Payton Evans, Denver Evans, and Royce Wayne Evans Jr. Burial: Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Sweet Home, Texas.
