IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sedra Ann
Menchaca Gutierrez
January 13, 1935 – November 10, 2013
Sedra was a lady who enjoyed the simple things in life. The most important thing in her life was raising her family. She so much enjoyed watching them grow up. She and her husband Frank enjoyed going to watch the local sports. As their two sons grew old enough to participate, watching them participate in their sports gave her so much joy. She and Frank never missed a game that their sons played in no matter what sport it was or how far away it might be. She was sure to be seen with all of the other parents cheering their kids on.
Sedra truly enjoyed the many summer vacation trips that she and her family took to visit the kinfolks in California. For two weeks she would relax and enjoy the time off from all of the hard work she did at home. She enjoyed going to visit all of her brothers and sisters and their wives, husbands, and their kids. She really loved seeing her parents for all of the special holidays. Of course family always came first.
Sedra truly enjoyed being around people which is why every job she ever had, she was able to work with the public. One of the first jobs she had was working at the Chapman's Laundry & Cleaners where she worked until the business closed. Sedra and Frank purchased the Lazy J Bar in Vienna Texas. Even though it was very hard work at times, she always said how much fun they had doing it. There were so many wonderful friends she and Frank were able to meet and make while being there. She also truly enjoyed working her other jobs at Patek's Restaurant, Renger's Bar, and the Flying J Restaurant in Dallas.
