Sarah Olinda Schaefer Jansky, 91, of Hallettsville, passed away June 17, 2014. She was born on Sept. 16, 1922 to Frank A. & Annie Hehmke Schaefer in Hallettsville. She married Paul M. Jansky on Sept. 9, 1946 in Hallettsville. She was a member of the VFW and DAV Ladies Auxiliary, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Sarah is survived by: 2 daughters, Sharon Jansky of Smithville, and Olinda Lindsey of San Marcos; brother Calvin Schaefer; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Sarah was preceded in death by: husband Paul; daughter Mary Ann Koenig; 9 brothers, Weldon, Elden, Victor, Hilton, Harry, Lester, Hilmer, William, and an infant; and 3 sisters, Earline Schaefer, Eleanor Hermes, and Paula Pagel.

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home with Rosary starting at 7 pm. Officiant: Rev. Daniel Danso. Pallbearers: Roy Schaefer, Lawrence Schaefer, Patrick Schaefer, Douglas Schaefer, Eugene Schaefer, and Tommy Kainer. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Donor's choice.
