Obituary

Santiago Cazares Sr., 48, of Hallettsville, passed away on June 2, 2009. He was born on March 1, 1961 to Antonio & Marie Romero Cazares in Mexico. He married Maria Cardenas in Houston. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville.

We would like to remember "Mr. Santiago", a man who left a warming impression on every customer whether they be big, small, young, or old that has ever walked through the doors of Jalisco's Cafe. He was a positive, active and very comical man to any person that had ever met him. He loved all of his cars, especially classic Mustangs, as well as all of his projects, tools and equipment that he had collected over many hard working years. If he could catch you with a little spare time, you had better count on it that he would be more than ready to grace you with one of his latest adventures, guaranteed to make you laugh.

He was a husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. Out of all of his passions in life, the top on his list was his grandson Ethan, who referred to him as Da'. They were together every chance they could and had many great times together. Santiago definitely got this little guy on the way to be an active, imaginative, outspoken and very rambunctious miniature version of himself. Whether it be his family, friends or many loyal customers, we will all miss him very much. May he live on in the hearts of all of us and his memories always being a smile to our face.

We love you Santiago
