Sandra Jean Henneke, 76, of Hallettsville, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, left us peacefully to be with her heavenly Father with her family by her side.  She was born on July 9, 1949, to Johnny & Hazel Johnson.  She married Mark Henneke on June 15, 1968.

Sandra was the manager of the Hallettsville Golf Course for many years prior to her anoxic brain injury, September 2009.  Prior to working at the golf course, she had a daycare out of her home.  She had many friends and was a "Nonnie" to quite a few kiddos.

Sandra loved her family, loved life, enjoyed reading, but most of all loved being a Nonnie to her grandchildren.

The last 16 years were a struggle and difficult for Sandra, but she was loved by and kept comfortable by all the caretakers that had the privilege of caring for her.  Thank you to The Williamsburg House, Hallettsville Nursing & Rehab and Crown Hospice.

Sandra is survived by:  her husband Mark Henneke of 57 years; three daughters, Shandlyn "Shanny" Koehne (Steven), Shelly Mikes (Robert) and Stacy Liston (Scott); six grandchildren, Kelton Koehne (McKenze), Korbin Koehne, Sydney Janak (Jacob), Sadie Mikes, Zack Liston and Kadyn Liston; three great grandchildren, Saylor Janak, Jaxx Janak and Kalyn Koehne; brother Troy Johnson (Joyce); sister-in-law Rita Zavesky (David); brothers-in-law, Bobby Henneke, Tommy Henneke (Darlene), Norbert Henneke (Karen), Randy Henneke (BeBe), Karl Henneke (Brenda) and Mike Benbow; and many nieces & nephews.

Sandra was preceded in death by:  her parents Johnny & Hazel Johnson; stepfather Al Hermes; mother-in-law Lillian Henneke; father-in-law Leo "Buck" Henneke; sister Jo Ann Kahanek; sisters-in-law, Carol Henneke, Sandra Benbow and Katherine Perry; brothers-in-law, Pat Kahanek, George Henneke, Jim Perry and Randy Zavesky.
