Obituary

Sandra Lynn De La Rosa, 50, of Hallettsville, passed away August 16, 2020, after a two year long battle with cancer.  She was born on February 21, 1970 in Yoakum, TX to Lupe Rosales and Pete Puente. She was the proud mother of 5 and grandma of 8.

If you knew Sandra, you knew what an absolute huge personality she had.  She was the most outgoing person and always knew just how to make you laugh.  She was so full of life and you could catch her singing and dancing at any given moment.  She was one of the most stubborn and strong willed women ever but had an extremely loving heart too.  She was a dedicated worker at Hallettsville Rehab for 11 years where every one of her residents adored her, and her coworkers became more like family.  In her free time she really enjoyed going to play bingo especially with her mother in hopes of bringing home a big win.

The most important part of Sandra's life was family and the love she had for them.  Everyone knew that her kids were her pride and joy and her grandkids were spoiled tremendously by her.  She made every birthday and holiday truly special for each one of them.  Her favorite thing to do was to have everyone together for a big meal and just enjoy each other's company.  She was the glue that held the family together.

Sandra leaves behind many loved ones with tons of beautiful memories of her.  While her time with us was short, she touched so many lives with her love, laughter, and strength.  Her beautiful spirit will remain with so many people.  She truly made this world a better place and will be so deeply missed. We love you always.

Sandra is survived by: parents, Lupe Rosales and Pete Puente;  2 sisters, Juana Puente  & Kimberly Puente; 5 children, Heather De La Rosa, Alyssa Janak, Roger De La Rosa Jr., Alex De La Rosa, and Tabitha De La Rosa; and 8 grandkids, Ayden, Landen, Jazmyn, Daniel, Avyana, Camilla, Wyatt, and Elijah.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers and support during this difficult time..
