Rudolph Victor "Rudy" Merechka, 73, of Hallettsville, passed away April 13, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Oct. 2, 1939 to August & Emilie Meleta Merechka in Provident City, TX. He was an equipment operator and rancher for many years until his retirement in the 90's.

Rudy is survived by: by his older brother Frank Merechka of Provident City Texas; one niece Emily Merechka Dobbins of Coleman Texas; two nephews, Bruce Merechka of Provident City, and Brandon Merechka of Mansfield Texas and as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Rudy will be laid to rest on May fourth at 1 pm, in the Speaks Cemetery, following a memorial service at the Speaks Community center.
