Royce (Toby) Gene Miller Jr., 72, of Hallettsville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  He was born on August 24, 1949, in Hallettsville, Texas, to the late Royce Gene Miller Sr. and Lillian Moore Allen Miller.

Toby graduated from Victoria High School in 1967.  He attended some college and joined the National Guard.  Throughout his life, he was a welder and a rancher.  Many cattle pens & gates around Lavaca County were fabricated by him.  Hunting and fishing were always on the list of activities, especially with his kids and grandkids.  Toby also loved hot rods.  He enjoyed bragging on the cars he had and drag racing.  Traveling around attending swap meets and car shows was one of his greatest joys.

Toby was proud of his kids and grandkids and loved to talk about their accomplishments.  He was a man of faith and didn't hesitate to share the word of God with others.  Anonymous gifts were often given to those in need.

Royce is survived by:  three children, Dawn Jansky & husband Daniel of Hallettsville, Jeffrey Miller of Hallettsville, and Jodie Miller of Hallettsville; four grandchildren, Dayton Jansky, Danna Jansky, Lane Wright, and Raelynn Wenske; two sisters, Kathi Rosamond & husband Larry and Audrey Pesek & husband Tom all of Houston.

Royce is proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 5, 2022, at First United Methodist Church in Hallettsville. Memorials may be made to the doner's choice.
