Obituary

Mr. Roy L. "Woodie" Fuller, 78, of Sheridan, died June 1, 2008. He was born on Dec. 13, 1929 to Harley J. & Maude Briscoe Fuller in Sheridan. He married Margie Faldyn Fuller on Feb. 11, 1953 in Bay City. He was of the Baptist Faith, and a Veteran of the Korean War. During the Korean War, he received the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars.

Woodie had many loves, but his greatest was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Woodie had many past times after his retirement; among the few were raising domestic animals, gardening, Bingo, and visiting family and friends. He never met a stranger. Woodie will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Woodie is survived by: wife Margie; 2 daughters, Audrey Lynn Harper of Sheridan, and Patsy Robertson & husband David of Sheridan; brother Alvin Fuller of Hallettsville; sister Ruth Mae Brinkmeyer of Houston; 6 granddaughters, Angela Heger & husband Lance of Sheridan, Tracy Perry & husband Ernest of Victoria, Stacy White & husband Bryan or Rosharon, Trish Orgis & husband Brian of Shiner, Erica Cole of Katy, and Kayla Robertson of Sheridan; and 8 great-grandchildren, Macey Moeckel, Lexey Moeckel, Bryce Orgis, Blake Orgis, Shyland Heger, Bralan Heger, Devonte' Perry, and Donavan Perry.

Woodie was preceded in death by: parents; daughter Rebecca Ann Fuller Rodriguez; 3 brothers, I.W. Fuller, Harley "Sonny" Fuller, and Richard Fuller; and 4 sisters, Voydell Cousins, Estelle Tesch, Mabel Botard, and Edith Burris.

Service: 3 pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 2 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home; with the family receiving visitors from 5 pm to 7 pm. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Donald Faldyn, Louis Wayne Botard, Glen Tesch, Gary Fuller, Melvin Fuller, and David Fuller. Burial: Cheetham Cemetery, Sheridan, Texas. Memorials: Sheridan Library or Donor's Choice.
