Roy Henry Louis Bruns, 93, of the Hallettsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Texas, sadly announce he passed away November 24, 2021.

Roy was born in Marble Falls, Texas on November 4, 1928, to Carl Bernard Anton Bruns and Anna Helena Frerichs.  He was married to Sylvia St. Croix (deceased) for 32 years.

Roy Bruns was a graduate of Texas A&M University and worked as a qualified geologist for the Texas state government for many years before retiring.  He was lifelong supporter of the Aggies football team and was a physically active man for most of his life.

He was a devout long-term member of St Peters Lutheran Church in Hallettsville.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sylvia, four siblings, Alice Chadwell, Herbert Bruns, Evelyn Young and Margaret Valenta.  He is survived by his nieces from the marriages of his sisters and brother.

Funeral Service: 9 am, Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville; Visitation starting at 8:30 am. Officiant: Pastor Jared Stillions. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: 3 pm, Monday, Dec. 6, 2021,at Marble Falls City Cemetery (400 South Avenue S).
