Obituary

Mr. Robert Leon Wrye, 63, a longtime Dallas resident who moved to Schulenburg about 3 ½ years ago, died suddenly in a one vehicle accident, Sunday, July 1, 2007, near Hallettsville. He was pronounced dead at the scene (U.S. 90 Alternate, about 3.7 miles east of Hallettsville) at 2:45 am, by Lavaca County Justice of the Peace Bobby Pavliska.

Survivors include a daughter Amber C. Wrye of Brownwood, son Bret L. Wrye of Brownwood, sister Shirley Dowdy of Frisco, and two brothers, Kenneth Wrye and Billy Wrye of Dallas.

Robert graduated from Bryan Adams High School and Texas Southwestern Medical School, specializing in geriatric administration. Among his varied careers, he was an employee of Washington National Insurance Co., and Texas Instruments; retired Dallas postal worker, and an administrator of Southhaven nursing Home, and most recently Colonial Care in Schulenburg.

Robert was a loving and devoted father, a good friend to many and a wonderful companion. We will miss him greatly but he has gone home to be with God and his parents who preceded him in death.

Memorial Service: 12:30 pm, Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the wildwood Chapel in the Restland Memorial Cemetery in Dallas.
