Robert E. Stinnett Sr., 83, of Hallettsville, passed away March 8, 2011. He was born on October 4, 1927 to Carl C. & Susan Grimes Stinnett in Hull, Texas. He married Evelyn Ponton Stinnett on June 26, 1950 in Yoakum, Texas. He was a veteran of WWII; member of DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and Church of Christ Church.

Robert is survived by: his wife Evelyn; 4 sons, Robert Jr., Barney B., Bruce, and David Stinnett; 3 daughters, Rebecca Tanner, Ramona Harrison, and Robbie Burt; 2 ½ sisters, Mary and Carlene; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by: his parents; and 2 brothers, Barnell and Arliegh Stinnett.

Funeral Service: 3 pm, Friday, March 11, 2011, at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 12 Noon, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Mike Ezzell. Pallbearers: Joel, Stinnett, Bob Stinnett, Barney Stinnett, Jeremy Stinnett, Bruce Stinnett, and Austin Jackson. Burial: Salem Cemetery. Memorials: Church of Christ Church.
