Randall "Randy" Zavesky, 58, of Manvel, Texas, died Oct. 3, 2008. He was born on Dec. 3, 1949 to Charles & Pauline "Tootsie" Netardus Zavesky in Hallettsville. He married Rita Henneke Zavesky on May 26, 1990 at Appelt's Hill Hall near Hallettsville. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alvin.

Randy and his wife have resided in Manvel, Texas for the last 15 years and have their country home east of Hallettsville. Randy's hobbies were always hunting, fishing, and golf since he was a young boy.

Randy is survived by: his wife Rita of Manvel; daughter Carrie McDonald of Austin; 2 brothers, Daniel Paul Zavesky & wife Billye of Hallettsville, and Ricky Zavesky & wife Karen; nieces & nephews, Wendy Vacek, Clay Zavesky, Kim Rose, and Russell Zavesky.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

Service: 11 am, Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 2 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 6 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 10:30 am, Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers: Dennis "Shorty" Repka, Glenn Drozd, Ed "Spyder" Kucera, Jaime Johnson, Bobby Brown, and Clarenc "Boy" Myers. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: American Cancer Society or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
