Obituary

Peggy Sharon Cervenka, 80, of Hallettsville, passed away May 28, 2013. She was born on April 9, 1933 to Fred & Fay Jacobs Westerman in Houston. She married Alvin F. Cervenka on September 16, 1950 in Houston. Her faith was in the Baptist religion.

Peggy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her trips to Coushatta and to Rockport with her family. Peggy and Al loved playing dominoes. They also loved dancing, even though Al's dance card was filled by her daughters the majority of the time.

She was a loving and caring lady, and will be greatly missed.

Peggy is survived by: 4 daughters, Linda Wagner & husband Travis of Yoakum, Cathy McGehee & husband Russell of Yoakum, Sandy Cervenka of Hallettsville, and Lori Motl & husband Pat of East Bernard; 10 grandchildren, Shane Wagner, Ryan Wagner, Dustin Pekar, Tyler Pekar, Trey Kaiser, Crystal Whitley, Heather Pekar, Mandi Brasher, Lacy Motl, and Haley Gerke; and 6 great grandchildren, Faith Wagner, Christian Wagner, Bailee Wagner, Tanner Wagner, Gunner Pekar, and Alexa Brasher.

Peggy was preceded in death by: her husband Alvin, parents, and granddaughter Calamity Ann Whitley.

Funeral Service: 2 pm, Friday, May 31, 2013 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 5 pm, Thursday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Grandsons; Shane Wagner, Ryan Wagner, Dustin Pekar, Tyler Pekar, and Trey Kaiser; and John Pekar. Honorary Pallbearers: Granddaughters; Crystal Whitley, Heather Pekar, Mandi Brasher, Lacy Motl, and Haley Gerke. Officiate: Lewis W. Robersan – Minister. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas or charity of your choice. Burial: Willow Creek Cemetery.
