IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patsy Beth
Madison
March 16, 1934 – July 2, 2024
Patsy Beth Madison, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024, at the age of 90, surrounded by her family at home in Vienna, Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, John Madison, who passed away 12 years ago, her son Marvin, and her brothers, Tom Smith and Kirk Hicks.
Patsy was born on March 16, 1934, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Pat and Allie Smith. She grew up with a strong sense of family values and a deep commitment to serving others. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and any small animal that might be in need.
Patsy's greatest joy in life was her family. She met the love of her life, John Madison, in San Saba, Texas, and they were married in 1952. Together, they raised five children: Marvin, Anna, Donna, Joyce and Alfa. She was a devoted wife and mother, always putting her family's needs before her own.
Patsy was actively involved in Vienna Baptist Church, loving the Lord, and volunteering to teach Sunday School. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, and she was known for her ability to brighten any room with her infectious smile and positive outlook on life.
In her free time, Patsy enjoyed sewing, art, gardening, reading novels, and going to garage sales. She was known for her green thumb and knack for repairing anything with glue, acrylic, sawdust, and paint.
Patsy is survived by her children: Anna (Jay) of Marble Falls, Donna of Early, Joyce (Jason) of Shiner and Alfa (Jay) of Katy; her grandchildren, Waylon (Tammie), Heath (Jo Carol), Ashley, Katelyn (Cody), Nathan, Noah and Ella; her great grandchildren, Nautas, Farrah, Vannah, Dylan, Madison, Aubrey, Bailey, Harper, Bella, Gunner, Hadley, Blaire, Hershel, Jude, John, Jade and Waylon; her great great granddaughter Isla Beth; and her siblings, Margaret (Sis) Coley, Larry Smith and David (Bud) Smith. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Patsy's legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved husband John and son Marvin, knowing she lived a life of profound impact and meaning.
