Obituary

Patrick James Hanslik, 67, of Moulton, was called home by the Lord on October 30, 2025, in Witting, TX.  He was born at Renger Memorial Hospital in Hallettsville, TX, on December 17, 1957, to Julius & Frances Hanslik.  He grew up on the family farm in Witting, TX.  From the earliest years of his life, his hardworking manner, religious nature and willingness to help others was evident in everything he pursued.

After graduating from Hallettsville High School in 1976, Patrick attended Southwest Texas State University shortly but decided that his heart was in farming and ranching.  He returned to Witting, TX and worked at Bohuslav Feed Mill.  He had a passion for farming, ranching and hunting.

Patrick enjoyed playing dominoes and was a force to be reckoned with when the game got heated.  He also had an enthusiasm for sports, especially basketball and slow pitch softball.  He was a very social guy and loved visiting with family and friends, dancing and just being around people.  If there was a joke to be told, he certainly had one up his sleeve.  He had a love for animals as well.  He was diligent on making his rounds to check on his cattle and his crops.

Patrick lived his life with and will forever be remembered for his unwavering determination, his immeasurable generosity and someone who never met a stranger or turned away a hand or pet in need.
