Patsy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a passion for children; she enjoyed spending time with her family and the children she cared for. She enjoyed the simple things in life and always put others before herself. She was a member of St. Isidore Society and St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Patsy is survived by: her husband David; 5 children, Susan Klesel & husband Dwayne of Katy, Sandra Starns & husband Chad of Pearland, Christine Haas & husband Brian of Hallettsville, and Sharon Henrichs & husband Scott of Moulton, and David J. Steffek of Hallettsville; her 10 grandchildren, Melissa Klesel, Jessica Klesel, Colton Starns, Kayla Starns, Kylee Starns, Briana Haas, Carley Haas, Brady Haas, Clayton Haas, and Mackenzie Henrichs; brother Henry J. Kostelnik Sr. & wife Ann of Hallettsville; and sister Barbara Matula & husband James of Hallettsville.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Joe S. & Lydia Pivonka Kostelnik.
Service: 2 pm, Monday, April 27, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation: 2 pm, Sunday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries : 6 pm, Sunday and 1:30 pm Monday; both at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Henry Kostelnik Jr., James Matula Jr., Jeffrey Steffek, Frankie Joe Migl, Darren Steffek, Paul Sklar, Dennis Steffek, Rodney Pustka. Honorary Pallbearers: the grandchildren. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials: St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Catholic School, or Donor's Choice.
