Nelda is survived by: son Michael Wayne Lanfear of Austin; Daughter Katherine Ann Marshall & husband Charles of Leander; father John Lewis Beard & wife Barbara of Waco; mother Adele Evans Beard of Austin; sister Deborah Strickler of Dale; grandchild Lindsay Kay Marshall; 2 nephews, Richard and Lee Strickler; and niece Josephine Redus.

Nelda was preceded in death by her brother Troy Beard.

Service: 1 pm, Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008 at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville. Visitation: 2 pm, Wednesday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Terry Horton. Burial: Salem Cemetery.
