IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nathan Alan
Smith
April 12, 1982 – December 3, 2018
Nathan Alan Smith, 36, of Brenham, TX, went to his Lord on December 3, 2018. He was born 3 months early on April 12, 1982 weighing 1 lb. 8 oz. He spent the first 8 months and 1 day of his life in Texas Children Hospital Houston (3 months in the ICU and the remaining in Intermediate Care). He came home on December 13, 1982. At 3 days old he had heart surgery and was not expected to survive the surgery. He had a strong will to live. He also had 7 eye surgeries.
Nathan came home with a feeding tube and on oxygen. First bottle was at 16 months old. Took first steps at 5 years old. His favorite past-time was to be in a hot tub, swimming pool or in the river. He loved his time in the bathtub at the end of every day. Anything with water was his happy place. At the age of 22 years old he moved to Brenham State Supported Living Center. He was a resident there for 14 years.
Nathan taught his mom patience and made her a strong person in every aspect of life. Mom was the love of his life and he was hers. When he heard her voice, it always put a smile on his face. God hold him tight in your arms.
