Nailer "Tookie" Cooper Jr., was born on November 11, 1967 to Nailer and Betty Cooper. Nailer lost his battle with Cancer and went to be with our Lord on May 23, 2010, at the age of 42. He married Susan Technik Cooper on May 8, 1992 in Hallettsville. He was baptized in the Baptist religion.

Tookie enjoyed his hunting, fishing, riding horses, playing pool, drag racing, and most of all was spending time with family and friends, cutting up and joking around.

Tookie is survived by: his wife Susan of Hallettsville; his children, Trey Rainosek of Houston, Ashley Cooper of Pflugerville, Gwen Holt & husband William, Cody Cooper, Josh Kremling, Hannah Cooper, Nailene Cooper, April Cooper, Nailer Cooper III, Bonnie Sue Cooper, and Michael-Julius Cooper all of Hallettsville; grandchildren Marcos Cooper of Pflugerville and Caitlynn Holt of Hallettsville; mother-in-law Anne Mae Technik of Hallettsville; brothers, Tommy Cooper & wife Lisa and Ernest Cooper & wife Mary all of Hallettsville; sisters, Ginger Dean & husband Neil of Fort Worth and Bonnie Warren & husband Danny of Shiner.

Tookie was preceded in death by: his child; parents, Nailer & Betty Cooper Sr.; Grandparents, Tommy & Sadie Cooper of Moulton, and Pete & Fay Jackson of Marble Falls; uncles, Adaway, Morris Sr., and Joe Cooper all of Hallettsville; aunt Charlotte; and father-in-law Julius Technik of Hallettsville.

Funeral Service: 2 pm, Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 4 pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home, and all day Tuesday. Officiate: Rev. Jeff Ruppert. Pallbearers: Tommy Cooper, Ernest Cooper, Johnny Cooper, Danny Warren, Neil Dean and Cody Cooper. Honorary Pallbearers: Colt Harbin, Saxton Harbin, Tommy Jr., Johnathan Cooper, and Daylin Dixon. Burial: Moulton City Cemetery.
