Obituary
Myrtle Ann Hessler, 95, of Hallettsville, passed away Oct. 21, 2021. She was born on Aug. 17, 1926, to Magnus & Annie Krause Mertz Sr., in Hallettsville. She married Henry S. Hessler on Nov. 12, 1949, in Hallettsville. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville.
Myrtle is survived by: daughter Gail Finley; sister Dolores Hutchings; 2 grandchildren, Lori Elsey & Shani Cress; and 4 great grandchildren, Eliana Cress, Asher Cress, Axel Cress and Emma Wood.
Myrtle was preceded in death by: husband Henry; parents; and 3 brothers, Magnus Jr., Roger and Harvey Mertz.
Funeral Service: 2 pm, Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville; with Visitation starting at 1 pm at church. Officiant: Pastor Jared Stillion. Memorials: donor's choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
