Obituary

Mildred Matilda Grahmann, 95, of Hallettsville, passed away May 18, 2024.  She was born on April 3, 1929, to Henry & Clara Bengsch Zappe, in Hallettsville.  She married Sylvester J. Grahmann on October 15, 1948, they were devoted life partners for 66 years until Sylvester's death in 2015.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville, Catholic Daughters of Americas and Christian Mothers Society.

Mildred's family wishes to thank the staff and employees of Stevens Nursing & rehabilitation Center where she has resided and received wonderful care for the past ten years.  A special "thank you" also to Hospice of South Texas for their assistance during the last months of her life.

Mildred is survived by: son Allan Grahmann & wife Jamie of Hallettsville; daughter Janice Logan & husband Pat of Houston; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Tromble & husband J.D., Jessica Hopper & husband Chase, Sarah Braziel & husband Charlie, Haylee Grahmann and Dylan Grahmann & wife Kaitlin; and 6 great grandchildren, Andrew & Lucas Tromble, Mason & Claire Hopper, Audrey Braziel and Jake Grahmann.

Mildred was preceded in death by; her parents, husband, son Glenn Grahmann; and 3 brothers, Frank Zappe, William L. Zappe and Henry A. Zappe Jr.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville with Visitation: starting at 12:30 pm, and Rosary at 1:30 pm. Pallbearers: Dylan Grahmann, Pat Logan, Leroy Klesel, Craig Rainosek, Ronnie Huser and Fred Huser. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: Sacred Heart Church/School or Donor's Choice. Entombment: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
