Mildred Christ, 80, of Hallettsville, passed away May 1, 2017. She was born on September 1, 1936 to Albert V. & Frances Kresta Klekar in Lavaca County, Texas. She married Leo N. Christ on October 1, 1955, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hallettsville. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Mildred is survived by; daughter Charlene Gray & husband Roger of Gonzales, and granddaughter Taylor Gray.

Mildred was preceded in death by: husband Leo; parents; 2 sisters, Lucy Henke and Josephine Janak; and 5 brothers, Alphonse, Albert Jr., Leon Sr., August, and Daniel Klekar.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville, with Visitation starting at 12 noon, and Rosary starting at 1:30 pm (all events at Church). Pallbearers: Chuck Pavliska, Chris Janak, Joe Henke, Eddie Klekar, Lee Roy Christ, and Lawrence Christ. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: Kinderd Hospice, 1911 Corporate Drive #108, San Marcos, TX 78666, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, or American Legion Auxiliary. Entombment: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
