July 19, 1924 – October 19, 2011
After taking up a study of the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses, Mella came to understand and appreciate many promises set forth in the God's Word, the Bible, and used many opportunities to speak to others about such promises, thereafter, she made a dedication to serve Jehovah God. Mella symbolized that dedication by water baptism on July 31, 1970.
Mella enjoyed attending the meetings at the Kingdom Hall and always looked forward to and then attending Assemblies and Conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mella will be missed by all her family and many friends.
Mella was preceded in death by: her husband, her parents, daughter Shirley Warren, son Terral Goode; 2 sisters, Ella V. Lewis and Rosie Lenzey; and 2 brothers, Elton Foley and George Foley Jr. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Helen Mitchell of Kerrville, TX, and Nannie Mae Love of San Antonio.
Funeral Service: 2 pm, Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1420 N. Ave. G, Shiner. Visitation: 1 pm, Saturday, at Kingdom Hall. Pallbearers: Matthew Hunt, Israel Lopez, Cris Hunt, Jesse Anderson, Troy Flowers, and Terannce Walker. Officiates: Troy Flowers and Elliott Craton. Burial: Adam Branch Cemetery of Hallettsville.
