Mavis Gayle Gaidusek, 66, of Hallettsville, passed away April 12, 2015. She was born on December 26, 1948 to Hershal M. & Martha Gottschald Freeman in Bay City, TX. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sublime, TX.

Gayle is survived by: son Christopher Mraz of Hallettsville; step son Michael Gaidusek of Houston; daughter Marrisa Caswell & husband Josh of Hallettsville; step daughter Cynthia Gaidusek & husband Tony of Taylor, TX; 3 brothers, Melvin & Charles Freeman of Hallettsville, and Gene Rees of Ezzell; 4 sisters, Charlene Tesch of Hallettsville, Linda Burke of South Carolina, Kathy Kaminski of Thomaston, TX, and Tammy Brasher of Yoakum; 12 grandchildren, Tiffany Tate, Cody Mraz, Cassie Mraz, Waylan Mraz, Joshua Ladue, Gavin Ladue, Alexandria Harmon, Ashley Harmon, Christopher Harmon, Cayley Koonce, and Jarryd Koonce; 10 great grandchildren, Rhiott Tate, Rhoper Tate, Thomas Mojica, Alezae Holden, Kenessa Holden, Junior Holden, Caleb Harmon, Tyler Lavre, Colton Prilip, and Noah Prilip; adopted children, Tara Kaleta & Ike Johnson; and longtime best friend, Benjamin Gaidusek.

Gayle was preceded in death by: her parents and sister Shirley Johnson.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Friday, April 17, 2015, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 11 am, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Burial: Mossy Grove Cemetery.
