Maurice (Sonny) Anton Tesch of Sublime, Texas passed away on August 20, 2022.  He was born in Hallettsville, Texas on June 3, 1943.  He was the fourth child of Walter Paul Sr. and Mary Viola Jahn Tesch.  He was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sublime.

Maurice is survived by his wife Doris Tesch, son Paul Tesch, daughter Lesley Fessler, son-in-law Brent Fessler, grandsons William and Colin Fessler, sisters Ann Currie and Ruth Criswell, and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, outlaws, and friends.

Maurice is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Walter Jr. (Buck) and Leon Tesch, and nephews Archie Criswell and Tim Tesch.

Maurice was an Army veteran and a Purple Heart recipient for wounds suffered while serving in Vietnam.  In 1975, he started his own machine shop business that he operated until he retired in 2020.  He was a master of all trades who could build or repair anything.  There was no problem he couldn't solve.
