Mattie M. Judd, 91, of Hallettsville, passed away Feb. 2, 2014. She was born on March 4, 1922, the youngest of 8 children, to H.K. & Elizabeth Judd in Hallettsville.

Mattie lived in Houston most of her life. She worked for Foleys for about 40 years. She was a very successful Avon sales lady, and won many awards. She loved to go gambling in Las Vegas and Louisiana, playing the slot machines in her early years. She also had a great affection for her Love Birds.

Mattie is survived by her nephews, Andrew Brown, Sammy Judd, Alan Judd, Gene Judd, Russell Judd and Mack Judd; and many other nephews & nieces; great nieces & nephews; and many friends.

Mattie was preceded in death by: her parents; 5 brothers, Victor, Carl, Grady, Sam and H.R. Judd; and 2 sisters, Bicy Stokes and Verla Brown.

Funeral Service: 4 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville.
Visitation: 2 pm, Tuesday, at Kubena Funeral Home.
Officiant: Rev. Terry Horton. Pallbearers: Tyler Brown, Alan Judd, Andrew Brown, Jerome Brown, Andy Brown Jr., and Russell Judd.
Burial: Willow Creek Cemetery.
